Privacy Policy

Rinkside ("the App") is a native iOS application designed for minor hockey coaches to manage player rosters and build line combinations. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use Rinkside.

Rinkside lets you store the following information locally on your device:

• Player first and last names
• Jersey numbers
• Player positions (Forward, Defense, Goalie)
• Shooting hand (Left or Right)
• Player photos (taken or chosen from your photo library)
• Player notes
• Team names and season labels
• Line configurations and special teams units

This information is entered by you, stored on your device, and never transmitted to us.

All data is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data is protected by your device's built-in security, including passcode and Face ID / Touch ID encryption.

If you are signed in to iCloud on your device, Rinkside will automatically sync your data to your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This sync occurs in your own private iCloud container — only you can access it. We have no access to your iCloud data at any time.

If you are not signed in to iCloud, or prefer not to use it, the App functions fully offline without any sync.

Player photos are stored on your device and, if iCloud sync is enabled, in your private iCloud container as encrypted assets. Photos are never uploaded to any server we control.

Rinkside contains no analytics, no tracking SDKs, and no advertising libraries. We do not collect:

• Usage analytics or event tracking
• Crash reports or diagnostics sent to us
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Location data
• Contacts or address book data
• Any personally identifiable information about coaches or players

There are no third-party SDKs, frameworks, or services embedded in Rinkside that collect data.

Rinkside does not require you to create an account or provide an email address. You do not log in to our servers. There is no sign-up, registration, or profile with us.

Rinkside may request the following system permissions:

• Photo Library — to let you choose a photo for a player profile. Only the specific photo you select is accessed.
• Camera — to let you take a photo directly for a player profile.

You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's Settings app. If you deny a permission, the related feature will be unavailable but all other app functionality continues normally.

Rinkside is designed for use by adult coaches. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Any information entered about minor players (such as names and jersey numbers) is stored only on the coach's device and is never transmitted to us.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child's information has been entered inappropriately, please contact us at the address below and we will assist you in deleting that data from the device.

Because all data is stored on your device (and optionally in your own iCloud account), you are in full control of deletion:

• Delete individual players or teams from within the App.
• Delete all App data by uninstalling Rinkside from your device.
• Remove iCloud-synced data by managing storage in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.

We hold no copies of your data on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on our end.

Rinkside does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or social media SDKs. The only external service involved is Apple's iCloud / CloudKit, governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy.

Your data benefits from the security protections built into iOS, including device encryption, secure enclave, and App Sandbox isolation. iCloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple.

Because we do not receive or store your data on any server, there is no central database that could be breached to expose your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, notify you through the App or the App Store listing.
